It ought to come as no surprise that each of us live our lives under the weight of any number of varying incidences of pain, trauma, and rejection, acquired through our personal and professional interactions and experiences.
These "wounds" as it were, tend to exert such a negative impact on our lives that we end up carrying, and living with, the ramifications for most of our life. This often leads to our having many reservations and exerting much reluctance in getting ourselves to step outside of our respective "hurting bubble" and truly live. Sadly, if left uncorrected for an extended period of time, these "wounds" can thwart our attempts, and desire to work towards actualizing our dreams and aspirations, while also restricting our capacity to love, and be loved, wholly.
Disconcertedly, seeking assistance early doesn't appear to be part of our cultural mindset (especially in regard to mental health concerns) and it has become increasingly evident that there are far too many people today who are stuck in such situations, silently struggling, perhaps even suffering, in their attempts to live their best life; yet all too often remaining reluctant to reach out for help due to the stigmatic fear and/or shame, guilt, embarrassment, etc., which still surrounds the topic of mental health.
I want to change this!
Within an authentic desire to effectively, and efficiently, help folks build, and live, lives that are truly enjoyed, rather than purely endured, the notion of "Flip Flop" therapy became a mindset-philosophical approach of mine that was birthed out of the belief that people are doing all they can, in-spite of immense personal strain and struggle, to live this life to the best of their ability, while loving those closest to them with all they got.
As it is, it is my intent to present myself as an authentic, compassionate therapist, with an extremely laid back "grass-roots", client-centered, approach to helping people heal from their past
and create present and future lives that are fulfilling and purposed. Bolstering the "Flip Flop" mentality even more, while also elevating the accessibility of services, I am also open to meeting at any number of locations around the Georgian Bay Area (provincial park, golf course, beach, hobby shop, garage, etc.) should a client feel that this would lessen the apprehension they feel in seeking help. Fire me off a message using the button below to find out more about this unique approach.
**As an additional point, it's also a well-known fact to those who know me best, that I absolutely hate socks and actually wear flip flops all year long;
hence, the Flip Flop mentality is as much a lifestyle as it is a psychological approach.....lol
Come begin the journey towards your best life today!
Pura Vida!
